Ballymena Prayer Room | Print |
Friday, 13 November 2009

we opened a prayer room right in the middle of town in Ballymena during the Halloween holidays.

In the room there was space. Space to
reflect on who God is; giving Him the honour, glory and praise He is
due. Space to rest in His presence recognising what he has done for
us. Space to lift up individuals to Him, life up our town to Him and
lift up our world to Him.

Many of you called down to use the room, some staying a few mins,
other spending hours, we even had a few random people coming in off
the street and asking what was going on. There was also a real sense
that 1 week wasn't enough and it would be great to have something a
bit more permanent so having held discussions with the owner we have
been given permission to use the prayer room for the foreseeable
future...God is good :)

So the prayer room (located on Pat's Brae just up from the Ballymena
Library) is now going to be open every:
Thursday and Friday - 4pm-9pm
Saturday 11am-4pm

A key verse is the room has been 2 chronicles 7.14 “If me people, who
are called by name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face
and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will
forgive their sin and will heal their land”. Let us all humble
ourselves before the Lord.

Blessings

Matthew
