 Hello there! I’m Connie and I have some exciting news- I wrote a youth devotional, “faith undiluted” and it has just been published!
You’re probably wondering who on earth is this girl? Well I’m a student (20) from Fivemiletown, studying in south-west college. At the minute I’m in the second year of a diploma in health and social care, next year I’m hoping to go to Bible college to do a degree in youth ministries. I volunteer with a few Christian organisations in and around Enniskillen, including setting up a prayer room in two:42 (Youth For Christ drop-in centre). We’ve been trying our best to encourage young and old to unite in prayer, at the start it was a challenge that I wasn’t prepared to take up but now I wouldn’t have it any other way! At the minute we’re running the prayer room right up until Christmas, if anyone wants to use the prayer room they are more than welcome.
It may come as a shock to some of you that a girl of my age is an author but I don’t find it surprising. Here’s why, God put this dream on my heart when I was a little girl, I just decided to chase my dream until I caught up with it! God has been so good to me, He’s proved faithful in keeping His promise all those years ago. For that I am truly thankful! I hope my story inspires Christians, from the very youngest to the very oldest, not to allow their age to stand in the way of serving!
I have to say that “faith undiluted” is a great study tool that helps its readers to get to grips with the Word. I’ve made it as easy to digest as possible as I know how hard it can be for young people to get into the Word. There’s plenty to get your teeth stuck into, including Bible readings, prayers and exercises, encouraging you to take practical steps in your Christian walk.
Not only is it encouraging and uplifting, it’s challenging. I wrote it out of a heart that understands how hard it is for a young Christian to live a faith that refuses to compromise. I dare my readers to live differently, diluting down our faith doesn’t do anyone any good. My hope and prayer is that you’d not only pick up my book for a read, you’d take up the challenge to live wholly for Him. “Faith undiluted is a great tool to use for connecting with God.
