“There is a time for everything. A time to kneel and a time to stand, a time to pray and a time to talk. But there is never a time to look the other way.

There is never a time to ignore the truth. There is never a time to turn our back on suffering and injustice”.

Did you know that 600 million children are among those living on less than $1 a day in 'absolute poverty'? This is one of hundreds of stats about the plight of the poor in our world. Although it seems like there is little we can do to change this we know our God is bigger than these issues and incredibly committed to the poor and is calling us to do the same.

So next week (Monday 12th – Thursday 15th) 24-7 Prayer in Dublin is joining with Tearfund’s global poverty prayer week by holding evenings of discussion, worship and prayer. Each night we will be focusing on an issue but you can pray for all of them at once! The prayer room is a creative space to engage with God on issues that are close to his heart and hopefully yours too!

Mon - HIV
Tues - Climate Change
Wed - Disasters
Thurs - Trade Justice

We're meeting in Seven Wonders on Aston Quay (between O’Connell Bridge & the Ha'penny Bridge on the south side of the quays). The prayer room will be open from 7pm til’ 2am Monday to Thursday! 7pm -9pm will be structured, introducing a new theme each night and having a time of sung worship. 9pm -2am is open for individual (or group prayer if you'd like!) so we need people to commit to covering hour slots!

I know you all lead busy lives but if you could give an hour on one of these evenings it would mean we could have non-stop prayer for 7 hours each evening! The issues above are so overwhelming at times that I think sometimes all we can do is get on our knees in prayer. Please consider joining us sometime next week. Even better - if you can commit to a specific time slot it would really help us in planning the week - can you email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it !
