We Had an amazing week here in Ireland during GPPW with Churches and groups throughout the Country taking up the challenge to prayer for the issues of Global poverty. It also amazing to know that we have been praying as part of the worldwide church. Countries taking part included Brazil, Cambodia, DR Congo Haiti, India, Mozambique, Myanmar, Thailand, Uganda, the UK and Zambia. We won’t fully know the difference the prayers of the saints make this side of heaven, but we can be assured that they play a very big part in allowing God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

A former retail unit has been transformed into a sacred space for prayer in the city centre. As part of the wider AWAKE initiative organised by the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, a dedicated multi-sensory prayer room has been created to encourage people to take time out of their day and pray.

 A prayer room was involved during a week of activities in a Lurgan school at the beginning of February. 
 

24-7 Ireland and tearfund are setting up prayer rooms  throughout Ireland from the 23rd Febuary - 1st March with the aim of getting as many people praying together for global poverty.
